Experience

Education has provided experiences in many evidenced-based approaches in therapy; the ones in which I am most passionate are as follows: (CBT) cognitive behavior therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and narrative therapy, depending on the unique needs of each client. Time as a military spouse provided me with experience working with diverse adults and families through the Military Family Readiness Program. Additionally, I have experience working with adolescents and adults in small groups and individually through my local church. I offer Christian and faith-based counseling upon request and seek to honor the role spirituality or religion plays in each client’s life. I am here for you and look forward to walking alongside you in your journey towards healing and wholeness.

More About Me

I am a southern transplant here in the Midwest. It has taken many years to become accustomed to the cold, but I have learned to fuss as soon as it gets above 85 degrees. My family and I were stationed here almost 11 years ago and remained here after my husband’s retirement from the Marine Corps. We have an adult child in college and a senior in high school. My passion is cooking. Dinners at my home reflect my southern upbringing and Asian heritage along with dishes I have learned from the cultures of the many diverse people I have had the privilege of knowing throughout our military career. Other hobbies I enjoy include reading, walking trails, good blues and jazz music, crochet, organizing almost anything, and spending time with friends and family.
