Marriage & Family Intern

Marriage and Family Therapy Intern - Trilingual (English, Spanish & French)

Whatever brings you to therapy—couple's and marital issues, anxiety, parenting challenges, or simply life's everyday pressures—you have a place here. We all carry burdens, but you don't have to carry them alone. I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life's challenges and discover new pathways to healing and growth.

Experience

My work has brought me into connection with people at pivotal moments in their lives. I have worked with many couples and families and help them work through differences in a way that brings them closer to one another. I enjoy working with couples and families and help each individual feel heard, understood and cared for in sessions.

With youth, I have provided support through family trauma, major life transitions, and parental separation. As a mentor to students, I have focused on developing emotional intelligence, authentic relationships, effective communication, and holistic wellness. Each of these experiences has reinforced my belief in our capacity for growth through both adversity and meaningful support.

My Counseling Approach

I'm passionate about creating a safe haven where you can be vulnerable, honest, and authentically yourself. Whether working with couples using EFT therapy, or through PrepareEnrich working with couples seeking pre-marital counseling, or eclectic types of therapy approaches, working with children, teens, individuals or families, my focus is helping you move toward flourishing. Your unique story—complete with your background, struggles, and beliefs—is exactly what makes our work together meaningful.

My approach is truly collaborative. You remain the author of your story while I help you identify your needs, help partners understand their mutual attachment needs and longings, and I help clients set meaningful goals, always adapting to what serves you best. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), systems thinking, and play therapy techniques. I'm also more than happy to weave faith and spirituality into our sessions if that resonates with you.

Above all, I believe every person possesses unique value and purpose. None of us were meant to journey through life alone—healthy relationships are fundamental to living fully. I'm here to provide that safe space where you can share openly, grow authentically, and work toward becoming your truest self.

More About Me

I am a Christ follower, a proud Colombian, and someone who treasures family and meaningful connections. I bring passion and enthusiasm to everything I do! I love staying active through biking, swimming, nature walks, and jogging—anything outdoors energizes me. When I'm not exploring nature, you'll find me cooking, reading, or singing (there's always a tune living rent-free in my head!). I'm deeply curious about different cultures, languages, and ways of life, which feeds my love for travel and multicultural learning. This curiosity continually broadens my perspective and enriches the care I provide.
