Jasmine Gonzalez, LCSW

Psychotherapist - Bilingual

My passion has always been helping others navigate difficult times, especially children, teens, and young adults. I am deeply committed to serving my community and supporting individuals on their journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. My experience working closely with children, families, and youth has shown me the resilience we all carry within our unique stories.

My therapeutic approach centers on this belief: it’s not about what’s wrong with you, but what has happened to you and how you choose to move forward. No matter the challenges you carry, you don’t have to face them alone. My goal is to empower you while providing a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, seen, and understood.

Experience

I am a graduate of the USC Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, where I developed a strong foundation in working with diverse populations across micro, mezzo, and macro levels. I bring over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and families in a variety of settings, including clinics, foster care/DCFS, schools, inpatient hospitals, outpatient programs, and private practice.

Earlier in my career as an ABA therapist, I supported neurodivergent children and their families in developing emotional regulation and daily living skills related to autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, attachment, and behavioral challenges.

As a social worker for over five years, I have provided therapeutic services to individuals, families, couples, and groups across the lifespan—from children to older adults—helping clients identify barriers and build effective strategies to navigate life’s challenges.

Specialties

My clinical focus includes working with children, teens, and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, low self-esteem, generational trauma, attachment challenges, parenting concerns, and developmental delays.

I also have a strong interest in supporting individuals navigating postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility-related emotional challenges, and perinatal mental health issues. I am currently pursuing additional training in this area, as I am passionate about working with individuals during the perinatal period. As a first-time mother who has personally experienced and overcome perinatal anxiety/depression, I bring both professional insight and lived experience into this work, offering a compassionate and deeply understanding space during the perinatal journey.

I have training in the Adlerian theoretical framework and utilize Child Play Therapy with younger children. I am also EMDR-trained in trauma work and integrate a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including: EMDR, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

As a bilingual therapist, I offer services in Spanish and strive to reduce language barriers in accessing care. I value cultural sensitivity and bring a multicultural perspective to my work, allowing for authentic connection with clients from diverse backgrounds.

How I Help

I am a strong advocate for mental health and strive to create a warm, relaxed, and welcoming environment where clients feel safe and supported. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and empowering. I am fully present with you throughout your healing journey and committed to helping you build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

It is a privilege to support others in their growth, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.

More About Me

I was born and raised in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago and have also lived in California and Arizona. While I miss the sunshine and warmer weather, I value being close to family and lifelong friends. In my free time, I enjoy staying active, hiking, and listening to music! For self-care, I love painting, coloring, crafting, skincare, and spending quality time with my husband and our sweet baby girl.
